Welcome to the lives of the Koelln family!
We were "ordinary people" doing ordinary things, until something drastic happened to us. In March of 2002, my 49-year-old husband, Paul, was starting down a short flight of stairs toward a blacktop parking lot. Apparently he fainted, fell, and hit his head. He sustained a traumatic brain injury, had brain surgery, and was in a coma for two months.
Drastic changes in our family's lifestyle have caused us to examine and re-examine what we believe. The main reason we've "gone public" with our struggles is to show that God is faithful to take care of His children--expecially in the hard times. There may be days when we experience pain so deep it blots out the knowledge of the Lord's presence...but we've discovered He is always there. He has a purpose in everything He allows to come into our lives.
Tomorrow is always bright because of the hope He lavishes on us! May our hope be your hope, too.
Sincerely,
Marcia
